Tyga - G Shit ft. Chris Brown

A combination of vivid methaphorical verses and a catchy chorus, makes this song awesome. Tyga colborates with Chris Brown, to produce the appropriately titled, G-Shit. This song just makes you feel like your "swag" increased by 5 (don't be overly confident). The mood of the video, and tone of the song made my listening experinece so chill and hip. (Just picture an older gentleman two-stepping in the club)
G-Shit = Good Shit

Tighter Noose - Abandoned Pools

This is my top favorite band Abandoned pools. Tommy Walter is amazing instrumentalist. The lyrics to his songs are so deep and poetic. If you've known a artist in your life time that made a song that matched your exact feeling he'd match it. I heard on song on the television show Clone High called "Start over" and it was so amazing because i was going through a breakup at the time. The song sung my exact emotions i was feeling. After that i went to Amazon and bought every album he made. Yeah he was that amazing. Start over isn't on youtube so you'd probably have to buy it. Its from the album Humanistic. I recommended. The song "Tighter Noose" is like a melodic blanket covering your body it's just wow. It's from the album Armed To The Teeth. He's up there with death cab for cutie in my top favorite bands.

The Dead 60s - Riot Radio

Yeah i know it's been awhile since i put some good music up. Check out The Dead 60's. The intro is amazing. It makes me wonder how do they strum there guitars so fast. The video is pretty deck too. I envisioned something like this going on for the video of this song when i first heard it. From there album The Dead 60's. This song was also featured on Nick and Norah's Infinite playlist. Enjoy Happy Thanksgiving!

Bishop Allen - Middle Management

Doesn't this song make you wanna get up and dance like you have bees attacking your crotch. I know i dance like a crazy asshole when i hear this song. from there 2007 album The Broken String Middle management is a definite party song. As you can see from the crowd's cheers and applause this band is fucking awesome and their straight out of Brooklyn, New York. Their indie sound makes you wanna get up and go!

Via Audio - Modern Day Saint Music Video

This video was recommended by a friend. I thought the band was actually called modern day saint but there really called Via Audio. This video oozes pure awesomeness. It screams creativity from its notebook doodlings to its blurred motion camera shots. The most amazing thing about this video is it was only
$99! Can you believe that $99 and it shits on videos out today with budgets of $10,000.  I believe you can find the story in the video. It shows the nightlife and the band's talents. Call me a hipster but i fucking love this band and yes this is the only song i've heard from them but its melodic and makes you feel relaxed. From their 2007 album Say Something Via Audio is the bee's knees. They released the third album this year entitled Animalore and if the songs on the album are anything like this song i would go get it.

Devendra Banhart "Lover" live on the De La Semaine show

This is one of the songs on my soul's playlist. It's so hip and secretly dirty if you listen to it. This track was used in the movie Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. The song is called lover and it's from the album Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon. The beat draws you in and you can't help but dance. I know i start dancing instantly when i hear this song. Devandra Bandhart is an amazing musician. I'm learning more about his music. I know he isn't probably underground but i know if you're like me you haven't heard of him. Check him out. If his the rest of his music is similar to this than i know you love his sound like i do.

Kid Cudi - Marijuana

Yes people three more days until the Kid Cudi Album is Released! This is a track from the upcoming album Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. While this isn't the first single off the album it is the sickest track from what i heard so far. I'm not surprised that Kid Cudi used a dope guitar solo in the song because his style switches up from the typical rappers out today it's not just  free styling. Not dissing any other rappers but Kid Cudi is almost in a class of his own. I think its deck when artists that start out in one genre of music crossover to pursue a different type of music. He mixes it up with Rock/Hip hop/Club. Writing in his blog The G.O.O.D he states  “[Man On The Moon II] is dark by nature and instead of bringing you into my dreams like my first album, I’m bringing you into my reality, good and bad. It will explain more of who I am as well as pushing the envelope musically.” So expect something different from the eagerly anticipated sophomore album due November 9th.

Mac Miller - Live Free

A.O.T.P (army of the pharaohs) great underground rap group.

The Kid Mac Miller

Let's see.. if i could describe this guy in one word , what would i say ? Hmm... ahh idk ''DOPE'' ! If you don't know who is then , you're out of the loop. Now im not saying that all of his songs are bomb, im just saying that if you dont know him , check him out ! Ill be posting a song by him ''live free'' by him on the blog as well.

Nujabes - Tsurugi No Mai

This has a nice beat you can just cruise to. Nujabes' beats were usually repetitive and that's what draws a lot of his fans in to his music. I think his style was sick. One of a kind musician that you rarely get to hear. You're usually searching for this type of music in the mainstream but its hard to find.  His music was like a artwork so while it is hip hop it is in it's own category because his style is so unique. I don't believe you can compare any other beat maker to him. It just wouldn't be fair. Rest in peace Jun Seba(Nujabes).
if you like good music check out Kanye's Artist cyhi da pyrance he dope some one that new to GOOD MUSIC

Welcome to Monkey Knife Fight

This is my first post on the site i have two bloggers on board right to help me with the site. What were focused on is introducing you to newer underground artists that haven't been heard before or possible artist you have heard. I want to stray from the mainstream artist because many bloggers blog about them already plus this isn't really about famous artist. I want you to hear all genres of music not just one because music is eclectic. So we'll be introducing you to hip hop, Indie, Rock, Punk, etc. I want to expand your musical tastes. The blog may show art that part of the blog is still in question.
